Mig: 10. ( 1 + 1 + 0,2 + 1 + 0,5) = 37 damage per hit The mig rogue does 15,625% more damage per hit than the dex rogue. This does not include an elemental lash or weapon enchantment. This would reduce the advantage of the mig rogue further. The mig rogue does get a bonus damage to deep wounds by the way.
I'm loving the rogue class, but a bit frustrated that I'm having this much trouble figuring out how to properly AOE dmg, as I'd like to start farming some dungeons and fear that I will be holding back the team. Any tips/tricks you other rogues may have for me? Any tips on how I can improve my AOE damage to be more consistent?
It is hard enough to do it well if you honestly know what you're doing as a rogue and understand small mistakes are huge. The last talent of Assassination tree, 5% dmg increase for 60 seconds is kind of useless but it makes me feel i'm screwing up if its not up, maybe there is where this damage can go to. Making it 16-18% dmg increase as a buff.
Welcome to this World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth Guide for Assassination Rogues looking to optimize their DPS in PvE end-game. The recommendations in this guide are a mixture of automated simulation data and hand-picked choices that account for the wide variety of character setups at level 120. This guide is a resource to help optimize your character using up-to-date stat priorities, stat weights, talent builds, rotations and more curated by a small team who've played since 2004. This guide is intended to be a straight-to-the-point resource to quickly get you back in the game. If your intent is to achieve high performance DPS, you will want to focus on reacting fast and intelligently in encounters, executing rotations flawlessly, having good FPS, low latency, and timing cooldowns and consumables optimally as they are large factors for performing well. Players love to emphasize and theorycraft over the value of certain stats, talents etc. While they are impactful, they will not make as much a difference as you yourself until you are performing at a very high competitive level. This guide will give you that extra 5%, but the other 95% is up to you.

Below is our guide for prioritizing your Assassination Rogue abilities optimally. This should help give you a basic understanding of what to do and what's most important to focus on. Keep in mind that simply following this (or any other) rotation guide will not guarantee you to be amazing at DPS. How aggressively you execute the rotation, how fast and intelligently you react in encounters, your FPS, latency, etc. play a large part in the end-result of your performance. We encourage you to really focus on those things and perfect this rotation if you're very performance-focused.
